Emily Jordan

Emily graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in Biology and Spanish.  Following her undergraduate career, she received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University in December, 2006.  During her clinical practicum, Emily worked with children and adults with diverse needs, including the following: autism spectrum disorders, apraxia of speech, dysphagia, sensory feeding difficulties, aphasia, fluency/stuttering disorders, articulation delays/disorders, and language delays/disorders.  Following graduation, Emily began working for Durham Public Schools serving preschool and school-age children and continues to do so in addition to seeing clients with the CSLL.  Emily enjoys working with children in areas such as articulation and language delays/disorders, autism spectrum disorders, fluency disorders, and apraxia of speech.  She also enjoys working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including those from Spanish-speaking countries.
