Test and Teach™ programs are designed for you, the parent/caregiver, who may not be convinced that ongoing therapy is what is most needed at this time in your child’s life or perhaps you simply do not have the time available to devote to ongoing therapy given your busy schedule. Our evaluations can quickly identify the areas that are preventing your child from achieving his/her optimal level of development and for the older student his/her optimal level of academic success. We then design a custom-tailored program for you and your child.

These programs are designed for a select group of children who are deemed appropriate for this unique approach at the time of evaluation. We determine your child’s specific strengths and needs from the evaluation that we administer and then design a program where we include you, the parent, as a participant in your child’s program. We teach you strategies that you can use either in a formal one-on-one situation with your child, such as homework time, or for those “teachable moments” that you have with your child in various spontaneous times throughout the day. We teach you these strategies together with your child in a 4-session, 6-session or 10-session format. We determine the number of sessions that would be best suited at the outset but the number of sessions is up to you given any constraints on your time that you may have.
